I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

If you are unable to locate the main valve to turn off, then you could try turning on all the cold taps inside and outside your house to depressurise the system and reduce the leak.

Once that’s done, give our plumber a ring, whatever the day or time is. We’ll be there promptly to get things sorted.

While waiting for the plumber to arrive, remove any important items from the area, and mop up any water or position a bucket to catch the drips. If you have turned the mains water off, switch off the heating for the hot water as well.
